DALVA LAMMINMÄKI

Finno-Ugric shamanism and Finnish folklore

Dalva will be visiting from Finland to share in the ancient wisdom and healing traditions of the Finno-Ugric shamanism and Finnish folklore that continues to this day. She traces her lineage to the ancient practices of the Karelia area of
Finland, where she has ancestral ties. She is currently a student in Folklore Studies at the University of East- Finland specializing in the study of folk healers in Finland. One of her interests of study is folk metal lyrics, tradition, mythology and the worldview behind them in Finnish folklore. Dalva offers presentations about Finnish shamanism and organizes workshops about shamanism and Finnish traditions in different countries. At the moment organises Folk Healers Gathering in Kuusamo.

Dalva is also coordinator of Folk Healers Gathering in Kuusamo, Finland.
