NATIVE DRUMMING

There are several types of Turtle Island First Nations hand drums. This workshop will focus on using the single-person frame hand-drum, and possibly some First Nations rattles. In the class, you'll learn protocols for the drum and the songs from across Turtle Island, and some origin stories. The workshop will encourage participants to share any First Nations knowledge they have as it aims to accept all diversity of teachings and beliefs. We encourage all participants, from beginner to advanced level, to find their voice and share in a non-judgemental environment.
