We are pleased to host Tales By The Hearth~Fire Stories~Fire Workshop, led by Jeremy Campbell, at 180 Maria. Join us for a casual sing-along and fireside sharing after the workshop. 

For untold generations, fire has been our steady companion. It has cooked our food; warmed our bodies; provided safety at night; and been the center of our communities.
It has also burnt our hands; chased us through forest and grassland; taken our loved ones and our homes away from us.
We love fire and we fear it. We create and destroy with it.
Come and hear the legends and stories of fire.
Embrace a human tradition reaching back across time!

In this workshop we will focus on:

How to build and light a fire, regardless of the weather;
What is happening when a fire is lit;
How to keep yourself and the forest safe;
How to cook with open fires;
Crafting with fire;
The Art of fireside stories.

Food cooked over the fire will be provided.

The Elements Within Us is a series of events focused on reconnecting ourselves with the world around us. The ancients viewed the power of the elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Spirit) through the lens of their own time.
