Explore the world around you at this free family festival devoted to the stories that make up our Global Village. Join us at the High Park Amphitheatre for a day-long multidisciplinary celebration of the land we share - with immersive activities and experiences across music, dance, craft, food and storytelling.
The home to a range of peoples dating back thousands of years, today, Toronto is where the world lives. It's more than a place we have come to: It's the place we've built homes, upon the foundational stories, recipes, music, dance, rhythms we've brought with us. The new experiences, ideas and people around us have influenced new directions and traditions, and Global Village will celebrate what that looks, feels, sounds, smells and tastes like.
Based in a selection of works from Canadian Stage's emerging storyteller launchpad, Territorial Tales, which features stories of displacement, migration and settlement, Global Village occurs alongside the 35th-anniversary season of Shakespeare in High Park.
